| Some customer Virtual Machines were without Internet connectivity for a period of approximately twenty (20) minutes or less.
This outage was traced back to a new configuration applied on certain portions of our Amsterdam VoxCLOUD network infrastructure, which excluded certain customer VLANs from being forwarded between our cloud infrastructure and customer-attach router.
This configuration work was performed during a scheduled maintenance window corresponding to low activity levels local to Amsterdam, but without customer notification, given the small likelihood of an outage expected.
Steps Taken to Resolve:
Upon correlation of multiple failed cloud VMs, Voxel engineers immediately identified the offending network configuration and reverted to the last known-good configuration for the datacenter segment impacted.
We apologize for any inconvenience experienced as a result, and appreciate your continued support. |
